 ..

. . . This was a very challenging Election for ALL who participated.  A lot of good candidates were forced to race against each other making this one of Michigan’s most difficult races every!   One thing that needs to be changed is people’s perspective as to how important the Primary Election really is – It Is The DECISION maker for the General Election face-off and the beginning of “HOW” did these people get into office?

.

. . . HOW Sad that Only 20% of Michigan Voters took advantage of this opportunity to vote on Their Future!   There are 9-Million Michiganders and only 1-Million got out to vote.  Michigan has a ”Democrat” Majority – but, because they failed to get out and exercise their right to Vote – the Republicans took the lead again!

.

You can lead a horse to water – but you can make it drink!

.

. . .It’s only when things start affecting people, that they’ll get up and take action.  Until then, it’s like water over the dam.  Such an easy thing to change when “Preventative Measures” are taken.

.

To ALL who won their races

Congratulations!

. . . To the rest of Us – do not give-up your dream.  You possess qualities of strength and endurance and some day You will be able to conquer your quest.

.

Good Luck to All, in all that you pursuit.

The Right Choice for Waterford School Board Trustee

Cherie Billington

On the November 4th, 2014 General Election Ballot

Cherie Billington

.

2-people, 1-purpose

Michigan Families Priority ONE!!

. . . Working together as a team, Neil and Cherie will be able to service the People of Waterford and District 43 on 2 levels! In Lansing, as State Representative and locally in the township of Waterford serving on the School Board as Trustee.

. . . Everyone knows, MAJOR changes are necessary to correct debt and the direction in which EDUCATION in the state of Michigan is heading.

. . . It’s time to take affirmative action, stop the games and special “pet” projects and get down to business of teaching our kids!

. . . Too much, hard-earned tax-payer dollars are being wasted and spent-on “status-qua” items, instead of taking care of priority business first, OUR KIDS!

.

2 Working together as 1

to build a stronger

EDUCATION-CONNECTION

between city and state!

Neil and Cherie Billington

TRUST is a big word when it is carried through with a promise.

. . . Accountability and good stewardship is needed to put our schools back on track! And, I don’t mean on the playing field!  I’m talking about School DEBT and Bond Issues!

. . . Accountability and good stewardship is needed to put priorities and necessities FIRST instead of luxury and vanity expenses.  There is something fundamentally wrong going on and it needs to be addressed and corrected!

. . . Tax Payers should not be expected to pay every time city and state officials spend more money than what was budget for.  People are TAXED enough and officials are being paid too much!

. . . Something is fundamentally wrong, when “Keeping-up with the Jones” or in this case another school, takes-over the mentality of board members of what is important and not important.

.

Where is the accountability in leadership and good stewardship?

Priorities and basic necessities should ALWAYS come FIRST

before “other” or “keeping-up with the Jones”

expenses are even considered!

 .

It’s time for Accountable Leadership

that is willing to lead by example!

Show Me the MONEY!

Tuesday, May 27th, 2014

Ever wonder, what happens to YOUR money?
.

Let's "Cut the Pie" into pieces!

. . . Let’s “cut the pie” into pieces and take a good look as to where the money is coming from. NOTICE, the “slice of pie” Businesses contribute and the “slice of pie” Tax payers contribute.

What do you see?

EXACTLY!!!

“Looks like Someone is on a diet!”

The Businesses are making huge profits!  They are raising prices on consumer products and services AND still claim they need to cut-back on hiring workers!

The Michigan Business Tax has tipped the scale in favor of Businesses.

. . . How can private individuals keep picking-up the tab for Businesses who do not pay their fair share in taxes?  Businesses are still raising their prices and giving less, community services are charging more, benefits are shrinking and People are going without, spending more and getting less, taking pay-cuts and  in some cases, have lost their jobs.  JOBS that were supposed to be created when the MBT went into effect.

. . .  Meanwhile, business keep demanding more and giving back less, all the while creating a bigger imbalance in our economy.

Who allowed this to happen?

. . . Legislators in Lansing following Governor Snyder orders to fall-in-line with his plans of “re-inventing” Michigan.  Once again, something is called one thing and means something completely different.

This IS YOUR Money, Tax Payer Dollars we’re talking about!.

There is a Process and a method they follow but,

what looks good on paper may not always be good in real life.

.

State of Michigan Spending - The BIG Picture!

 .

.BOOST the Economy – by Boosting the Minimum Wage and FREEZE Prices

on Services and Purchased Goods until a balance is obtained.

Minimum Wage and Living Wage ARE NOT the same!

. . . Earlier this year, a Petition Drive for a November 2014 Ballot Proposal to increase the Minimum Wage to $10.10 an hour was launched.   On May 28th, 2014 the signatures were submitted.

. . . MEANWHILE: The Workforce Opportunity Wage Act or Senate Bill 934 of 2014 - was passed by the Senate on May 15th, 2014.   The governor and “political-game-players” in the House of Government Operations Committee have under-minded the hard earned efforts of the People of Michigan again by  gutting this Bill drastically!  Lowering the increase, un-tethering minimum wage from inflation and reducing the increase for tipped workers!  Governor Snyder says he wants to “raise” the minimum wage!

But, is he really?

. . . IF PASSED – The revised version of  Senate Bill  934  of 2014,  will now cancel-out the people’s submitted ballot proposal, making Michigan’s new minimum wage $9.25 an hour instead of $10.10 hour as proposed.  Go.v. Snyder is expected to sign this Bill into Law.   Gov. Synder thinks he is doing a good thing for Michigan Workers . . .

Do you think he is doing the “right” thing for Michigan Families?

IF this were not an Election Year, do you think Governor Snyder
would have agreed to signing this type of Bill in the first place?

PROBABLY Not! .

Get involved, be a part of the solution!
